With over 3,000 hectares of cultivated land along the Peruvian coastline, Complejo Agroindustrial Beta is one of the largest agricultural companies in Peru. It was established in 1994 in the Ica region about 200km south of Lima initially investing heavily in asparagus production and becoming a true pioneer of this industry. BETA is 100% Peruvian owned and operated.
Over the last decade it has expanded its land ownership to include new growing regions in the north of Peru and widened its crop range along with it. To add to over 3million boxes of asparagus packed for export every year, Beta is now amongst the top three growers of table grapes in the country and has recently added citrus and avocadoes to its product mix.
Delica entered into a commercial relationship with BETA in early 2008 initially charged with opening up the Asia and Australia markets to their Asparagus. With BETA’s support and acknowledgment of Delica’s commercial strength particularly in the Asia region, we have been able to open up and consolidate many new markets in which to channel its ever increasing volumes. Delica is the exclusive marketing partner of BETA Asparagus in Asia/Pacific region, one of the fastest growing regions, and is also a key marketing partner for BETA Grapes and Citrus.
